tips from your friend...the wildlife photographer...

you do not even want to hear the sound i had to make
in order to get this picture...
both kids smiling?
real live smiles?
impossible!
not if you make the sound of
a hyena getting his tail stuck in a blender
nope
make that noise
or something similar
& you will get shots like that
or like this

do something silly like
say
'hey guys look at me!
look over here & say cheese!
over here
hey guys
smile'
& you will get a picture like this...

just some photo tips
from me to you...

:)

I LOVE those pictures!!! I want a copy! I was also amazed at how much M is looking like Mom. It is the smile and the hair! Such a sweet girl! Q is getting so big! I am happy to see he is still a duck!

HA! That was awesome. I too have made a sound like a hyena getting his tail stuck in a blender. It's amazing what lengths we will go to. But I learned that I could make that sound while giving birth so I might as well use it again!
Thanks for sharing your cutie patootie kids. Love them and you.

That last photo really needs a pitchfork, a la American Gothic. I actually think it is my favorite because it is so funny although the others are the cutest ever. I am amazed that you are able to do the impossible - the double kid smile. I'm so impressed

I'm going to have to try that. I've resorted to photographing my two separately for that very reason. :)

way to go!
and thanks for the tips!
the last one is definitely my favorite, but only in the context of the whole thing... without the sweet smiles, the deadpan wouldn't play
:)

Oh this is such a great post--it makes me chuckle every single time I read it! My hubby Jess even laughed and said, "oh that's a good one". Seriously--you remember Jess right? From Blooms?
Anyway, thanks for the tips and tricks, although I'm pretty sure I've resorted to some such silliness as well.
Just love it all together as a story... most definitely a stellar scrapbook page/story!
